Supernatural is the story of two brothers, Dean and Sam Winchester, who travel cross-country to track down and destroy things that ‘go bump in the night’.

Sam Winchester wanted nothing more than to leave behind the nomadic, dangerous life he’d been forced to live as a child. His desire to get away from the Winchester’s fanatical dedication to hunting led him to Stanford University, a ‘real’ life, and estrangement from his family.
The weekend before an interview that would cement his perfect existence, Sam is visited by his tough-talking brother, Dean, with whom he has not spoken in years. Dean informs him their father, John, has gone missing, and needs Sam’s help to find him. Reluctantly leaving behind his comfortable world for one last hunt, Sam helps his older brother investigate and exterminate a mysterious ghost haunting the town where his father disappeared. When nothing about John turns up other than an old diary, Sam opts to let Dean journey alone in favor of a chance at a normalcy with girlfriend Jessica.
Sam’s happiness is short lived when he returns to find Jessica murdered—killed by the same entity which killed his mother and set his father on his obsessive quest to destroy the supernatural. Now, driven by revenge, Sam joins Dean in the journey to find their father, uncover secrets about their past, and most importantly, destroy the evil that destroyed their lives.
Supernatural was created in 2005 by Eric Kripke and is executive produced by McG. The show stars Jared Padelecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, with special guest stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as John Winchester and Jim Beaver as Bobby.
Supernatural is currently in its third season on the CW network, airing Thursdays at 9 PM ET. The show pulls in an average of 3-3.5 million viewers a week nationally.
